Who We Are
Our Mission
To inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.
We Interact Using The Youth Development Strategy
-
A sense of competence – the feeling there is something boys and girls can do well.
-
A sense of usefulness – the opportunity to do something of value for other people.
-
A sense of belonging – a setting where an individual knows he or she has a place and where he or she “ fits” and is accepted.
-
A sense of power or influence – a chance to be heard and to influence decisions.
We Practice a Set of Principles
-
Clubs require no proof of good character. They help and guide boys and girls who may be in danger of acquiring, or who already have acquired, unacceptable habits and attitudes, as well as those of good character.
-
Clubs are guidance oriented. Clubs emphasize values inherent in the relationship between members and their peers and their adult leaders. They help boys and girls to make appropriate and satisfying choices in their physical, educational, personal, social, emotional, vocational, and spiritual lives.
